Lab Innovations organiser releases attendance figures for "most successful" show
18 Jan 2026
Organisers of the recent Lab Innovations trade show at Birmingham NEC have claimed 2025 was their most successful event to date.
Nearly 5,000 attendees were recorded visiting the two day conference and exhibition held on 29 and 30 October last year, reported organisers Easyfairs.
Of these, 28% were described as lab managers and technicians and 21% as scientists, including chemists, biologists and microbiologists.
Easyfairs added that data revealed 70% of attendees were defined as ‘final decision makers’ or had influence on purchasing decisions.
In addition, it stated, three quarters of respondents had said their main reason for attendance was to find new suppliers or network with existing ones. The company claimed this represented a rise of more than a fifth over the percentage for 2024.
A total of 219 laboratory sector suppliers were present, with 71% of exhibitors rebooking on site at the show for this year.
In addition to exhibition stands, the event also featured 81 conference sessions which attracted 1,972 attendees across the five forum stages – equivalent to more than four in 10 show visitors.
The conference attendance figure for 2025 represented a substantial 59% increase over the figure for the 2024 event, said Easyfairs.
This year’s event will again take place at Birmingham NEC, on 4 and 5 November. The organisers indicated the switch was designed to avoid the event coinciding with half term school holiday dates in many parts of the UK.
Highlights of the event include the annual Lab Awards, organised by Easyfairs and Laboratory News.
