Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced that its Cambridge facility has been awarded a Queens Award for Enterprise 2009 in the Outstanding Innovation category for the iCAP 6000 Series ICP-OES instrument. This award, the most prestigious for UK industry, recognises the iCAP 6000 as one of the year’s most outstanding technical innovations. The Thermo Scientific iCAP 6000 Series ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma, Optical Emission Spectrometry) instruments are used in laboratories to detect and accurately measure low levels of toxic or pollutant elements in a wide range of samples.
