Fastrak from Alpha Laboratories is probably the most ecofriendly tip rack refill system in the world - its environmental packaging impact is up to 200 times less than other systems. This is because packaging is made from 95% renewable materials. The carton is made from 100% recycled paper, vegetable-based printing inks are used and the base is made corn derivatives. Its weight has been kept low to reduce fuel consumption in transportation. Fastrak uses a patent pending transfer top system that allows quick and easy refilling of the pipette tip racks. Additionally, to prevent contamination, the
transfer top ensures racks are refilled without touching the tips or wafers. Fastrak can also be re-closed to reduce exposure and further prevent contamination.
