ThermoFisher Scientific has introduced a new line of Thermo Scientific PocketTips, enabling nanoliter volume dispensing on current laboratory automated systems. An internally moulded capillary pocket allows transfer of 50-500nL molecular compounds suspended in Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO) directly to assay plates, saving time, reagent and labware and improving data quality with in-tip mixing. PocketTips are made from high-quality polypropylene that eliminates adherence and
maximises the recovery of all fluids. Through aspiration, the capillary pocket fills with the specified amount of compound and solution and facilitates soft in-tip mixing of sample and assay material. By removing timely intermediate
dilution steps, this pipetting method makes it possible to perform assays more quickly.
