Royal Society of Chemistry Professional Development in Analytical Chemistry: Flexible Learning courses with workshop; courses starting in October 2008 with an associated 3-day workshop in January 2009 at the University of Hull
The Analytical Chemistry by Open Learning Programme is based on a series of short (ten weeks) courses. It will provide a sound knowledge of the basic principles of analysis, an understanding of the instrumentation involved and the opportunity to become familiar with practical techniques. During the course you will submit two written assignments to your correspondence tutor and the programme will culminate in a three-day practical workshop in university laboratories. There are a number of analytical skills modules you can choose from to study at home for ten weeks, culminating in a 3-day practical workshop. The aims of the courses are to:
