Solving OEM problems with compressed air is easier than you think. For example, in hospital environments the performance, rugged design and quiet operation of the Gast Group’s range of oil-less rocking pistons makes them the natural choice for laboratory applications. In particular the lightweight design makes them ideal for body fluid analysis equipment, where pressure and vacuum is required from a single compressor, with pressure used to operate the small cylinders used to move blood, urine or other body fluids through the machine, and vacuum required to transport liquid samples and reagents. The rocking piston range - which is available in standard, twin, and miniature styles – is available with air flow rates to 9.35m3/h (3.4 lpm to 5.5cfm), vacuum capacities to 31mbar (29in.Hg) and pressures up to 12 bar (175sig).
