Alfa Laval has introduced Optilobe, a new Rotary Lobe Pump for sanitary duties that takes simplicity of installation, operation and maintenance to new levels. The Optilobe joins the existing high-performance pumps in the Alfa Laval sanitary range to provide very ef cient treatment of a wide range of food, beverage, Biopharm and similar products where hygiene is of the upmost importance. It is capable of ow rates up to 49m3/h with differential pressures up to 8 bar and provides smooth, low sheer pumping of both high and low viscosity products. As such, it is ideal for the transfer of delicate and sensitive materials. The Optilobe’s smooth construction re ects the careful planning that has gone into its design to eliminate at surfaces and to ensure that CIP is as quick and ef cient as possible.
